{"id":1098,"date":"2020-11-22T19:45:43","date_gmt":"2020-11-22T19:45:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ihni.uk\/?p=1098"},"modified":"2020-11-22T19:45:43","modified_gmt":"2020-11-22T19:45:43","slug":"ford-focus-st-2-2006-mk2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ihni.uk\/?p=1098","title":{"rendered":"Ford Focus ST 2 (2006  MK2)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This car was supposed to be a 2005 Honda Civic Type R Premier edition, but that deal went arseways, so off I went (in a huff) to Charles Hurst in Belfast to look at what used cars they had in stock.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ihni.uk\/gallery\/_data\/i\/galleries\/FocusST\/ad46f009-me.jpg\" alt=\"ad46f009.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>They had a rare coloured Sea Grey ST Focus in stock nessled up beside a beautiful Prodrive Mazda RX8 in black Cherry Mica the same as this one pictured. Both the same price, both the same milage but, I immediately discounted this as I thought the fuel mileage would be much too bad, little did I know.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ihni.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/ProdriveRX8.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1099\" src=\"http:\/\/ihni.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/ProdriveRX8.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"960\" height=\"604\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ihni.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/ProdriveRX8.jpg 960w, https:\/\/ihni.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/ProdriveRX8-300x189.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ihni.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/ProdriveRX8-768x483.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I made the deal on the Focus, and drove the car home into what became the worst snow we had had in about 40 years!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ihni.uk\/gallery\/galleries\/FocusST\/Focusstsnow.jpg\" alt=\"Focusstsnow.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There it sat for about 3 weeks, in the end up, I didnt gell with this car at all and only kept it for 6 months. Mainly because of horrendous fuel economy, about 18mpg all the time.
